Stronger Together provides specialist, in-depth practical advice and resources for proactive measures labour providers and recruiters can take so that all workers are recruited responsibly and have fair work, free from exploitation.
How to get started?
- Register for free on the Stronger Together website here. Once registered you can download free resources including the Tackling Modern Slavery in UK and Irish Businesses Toolkit , template policies, checklists, videos and more to support implementation of good practice.
- Book on to an interactive training workshop to equip your business to tackle the risks of modern slavery and embed responsible recruitment practices. ALP Members and Fair Work Agency Gangmaster licensed labour providers receive one free delegate place every three years on select open workshops – check your eligibility and which workshops are available here. Request your free workshop places by completing this form.
- Complete a self-assessment using the Good Practice Checklist for Tackling Modern Slavery in UK and Irish Businesses or the Stronger Together 360° Online Tool (subscribe for free as an ALP Member here) to help identify areas for good practice and any gaps in your management systems.
- Appoint Modern Slavery Champions to raise awareness with workers and peers – use Modern Slavery Champion resources to support your community of champions.
- Register as a Stronger Together Business Partner to publicly demonstrate your commitment to tackling labour exploitation or embedding responsible recruitment. Registration is free and approved Business Partners receive annual Stronger Together Business Partner logos to use in their business materials.
- Book an independent verification assessment to review the progress your business has made in implementing operational controls to tackle the risks of modern slavery and other third-party exploitation.
